Arvola

In Arvola, there is a large open space on the ground floor, which is used e.g. for art graphics courses. There is accommodation on the second floor.

The Auditorium

The auditorium has a hundred seats, a stage, a silver screen and a projector.

The Art Room

The Art Room is on the third floor of the main building, where the art school holds classes for children and youth.

Veistola & Jaatila

Veistola lies next to the main building and it houses wood and metal shops and rooms for shorter courses in various arts and crafts. The courses in bronze casting and iron blacksmithing are conducted in the adjacent second wooden building, Jaatila.

Photography

Besides digital photography equipment, Kuusamo College has darkrooms for developing black-and-white photos, a separate studio and a large format printer.

Majala

Majala is a two-story wooden building that houses the kitchen and cafeteria of Kuusamo College. In addition to these dining facilities, Majala also offers meeting rooms and accommodations. Our cafeteria serves lunch on weekdays, except on holiday weeks. For larger groups, we are happy to provide breakfasts, dinners, and packed lunches upon request.

All accommodation and workspaces are equipped with wireless Internet connections.There are further common facilities in the main building, such as a laundry room and a sauna, which are at the disposal of the residency guests.

If your visit requires special needs or you wish to collaborate with others (such as travel/nature services), please include this in your work plan.

The work plan must clearly state the need for workspaces, as the spaces are mainly used for the college's training and course activities, and thus the possibility of using the workspaces is limited.

Possibility also for short retreats and holding exhibitions in the offices of our partners. Please mention in your work plan if you intend to hold an exhibition during the residency.
